I joined Cleland Hancox Limited in August 2010, before which I worked in accounting largely for the farming industry for about three years. This has given me a strong footing to tackle the unique challenges presented in accounting for this industry, and of course I am constantly seeking to further my knowledge of accounting in general. I'm currently studying part-time toward a Diploma in Business with an accounting and information technology flavour.
I have a strong interest in computer software and am always keen to learn more about the inner workings of different kinds of software. After work will often find me at home, doing some programming on a personal project or two.
My other after work hobbies include writing and playing music, bushwalks, and exploring the countryside. I was, and still am to a lesser degree, involved in equestrian sports, having previously held the treasurer position at Kihikihi Pony Club and Kihikihi Domain Sports Incorporated and being a competitive rider before I shifted to Hamilton. Unfortunately I don't have the time to keep and ride a horse at present, but I'm sure I'll get back into it one day.
